Roman Blinds

One day course covering:

• How to design and fit a Roman Blind
• Whether to use a kit or traditional batten
• How to construct a blind with or without top stitching
• You will make a sample Roman blind

Cushion Making

One day course covering:

• Demonstration of different types of cushions
• Basic design and shapes
• Creative designs and using different materials
• Basic sewing techniques
• How to make piping
• How to insert zips
• Traditional and modern styles
• You will make a sample piped zipped cushion

All materials will be supplied and comprehensive reference notes for each day will be provided.  Please bring your own calculator, scissors and, if you use one, a thimble

Getting to Know your Sewing Machine

A half day course running from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm:

• Use your own machine or one in our studio
• Learn basic sewing stitches
• Learn how to use different stitches and attachments
